Happy Birthday to Me

By Aiman Shaharuddin
I'm now officially 23 years old.. hehe.. dah tua.. ^_^

Anyway.. thank you to all who wished me.. especially to her.. who called me during midnight while I was sleeping.. wishing me Happy Birthday.. ^_^ and thank you for your gifts.. I really appreciate it.. And thank you for the birthday card too.. Let me rewrite the poem from the card:

________________________________________________
I want to tell you so many things on your birthday, and at the center of each is love...

I want to tell you how much I love you for all the ways you've made my life wonderful.

In small, everyday gestures of kindness, you tell me without words that I'm important to you.

I want to tell you how much I love looking into your eyes and fainding the comfort, respect, and gratitude that make such a diferecnce in my life...

On your birthday, Iwant to tell you how much I love looking forward to growing older with you, knowing that with every hope futfilled and every memory made, I'll only grow to love you more.

Finally, I want to tell you that the only thing more wonderful than falling in love with you is celebrating you and all you mean to me.

Happy Birthday.

Happy New Year (a.k.a Awal Muharram)

By Aiman Shaharuddin
For my muslim friends, Happy new year again. ^_^ May Allah berkati all of our doings. InsyaAllah.

So, for those who wants to know the doa, eventhough it might be too late. I got it from the JAKIM website, and edit the picture a bit so that it is easier to read I hope.

Year End Doa

So, year end doa is read 3 times at the end of Asar or right before Maghrib at the end of Zulhijjah.

New Year Doa

Then, new year doa is read 3 times after Maghrib at the 1st of Muharram.

Doctor!! health question & answer session

By Aiman Shaharuddin
Something to share with you guys

Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life; is this true?
A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... Don't waste them on exercise . Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap.

Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?
A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products.

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain. Bottoms up!

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?
A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?
A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain...Good!

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?
A: You're not listening....Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you?

Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?
A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: Are you crazy? HELLO Cocoa beans! Another vegetable. It's the best feel-good food around! !

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.

Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle?
A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape! !

Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets. And remember:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO, What a Ride!"

Happy New Year 2008!

Happy New Year 2008!! ^_^

Well, it was quite a night. Basically I have 3 groups of friends to go with, but which should I choose? Vandy? Smapk? Family friends? Hmm.. So I went ahead and chose the first one to plan the party; Smapk. Huhu.

So, three of us went out early to watch I am Legend at the Mines. Then we wait at bangi around 8 as planned. We went for a drink at Nims around there. I got my self a Soda Gembira. Sounds happy. Haha. Basically its a soda + sirap bandung. We gather at Taman Warisan Pertanian to have dinner with the other smapians. We head to Putrajaya around 10:30 and wait for the countdown. There was a concert; Concert Gegar. But we didn't really pay attention to it. We just waited for the countdown.

Then, at 12 the fireworks start. It was OK and I had fun watching it. ^_^ At that time, suddenly I remembered my countdown together with her at Disneyworld, Florida. So, I wished her an early Happy New Year. Missed her. I wished she could be here with me. ^_^

Then we wait for the traffic to cool down for about an hour and we head out to mapley at Bangi and have another drink. Then, around 3 I sent my friends home and arrive at my house around 4. ^_^
